ArchiteX – AX400-LV – Commercial EMS – Ongrid

This hardware version is for customers with a low-voltage (LV) grid connection. Our AX400 is particularly compact and ideal for all projects with limited space, such as in compact substations.

Intelligent SOC sharing for maximum flexibility (three-level SOC sharing)

Our three-stage SOC sharing enables flexible adaptation of use cases to individual customer requirements. In dynamic operation, an AI-supported control system optimizes the distribution of SOC levels in real time and adapts them intelligently to changing requirements (levels) – for maximum efficiency and optimal use of available resources.

  • Level 3: In most use cases, level 3 is provided for self-consumption optimization or for trading.
  • Level 2: In most use cases, level 2 is provided for peak shaving.

Maximum savings & revenue through intelligent EMS optimization

The EMS platform offers powerful optimization capabilities designed to both maximize revenue and reduce costs. It uses a combination of static and dynamic optimization methods based on real-time data such as load profiles, generation and market prices. Using AI-powered forecasting, the platform continuously adjusts the storage strategy to optimally manage energy consumption and generation. This enables flexible use of the system, e.g. through peak shaving or self-consumption optimization, while also offering the option of using the capacity for energy trading or grid services. Flexible connection for battery storage in trading

The EMS platform offers various options for integrating the battery storage system for front-of-the-meter (FTM) trading, whereby a distinction is made between flexibility marketing (day-ahead and intraday markets) and grid services (FCR, aFCR).

Direct connection to trading:
For battery storage systems with a capacity of 1 MW or more, energy management enables a direct connection to a virtual power plant (VPP) for marketing. This solution is particularly suitable for standalone battery storage projects and future battery storage projects in the context of “co-location” (e.g. PV+Battery Hybrid).

Connection via a virtual subpool:
For smaller storage facilities or customers for whom a direct connection does not make sense, the platform offers the option of participating in trading via a virtual subpool. Here, several battery storage systems are bundled and used for flexibility marketing, which is an efficient solution especially for dynamic optimization.

Intelligent storage optimization

The ArchiteX software combines rule-based and data-based optimization strategies to both reduce costs and generate additional revenue. It is based on real-time data such as load profiles, generation and market prices.

On this basis, ArchiteX continuously adapts the charging and discharging strategy and enables, among other things:

Intelligent SOC sharing for maximum flexibility

ArchiteX enables the parallel operation of several use cases with one battery storage system. It is based on a three-stage SOC sharing concept that distributes the available state of charge to different use cases in a targeted manner.

The SOC levels can be defined as fixed or dynamic and adapt to the respective requirements during operation. This means that the energy required for prioritized use cases remains available at all times, while the storage system is used economically at the same time.

  • Level 3 – Economic use:The remaining SOC range is used flexibly for self-consumption optimization, trading or other energy industry applications.
  • Level 2 – Peak shaving: A separate SOC range is available for reducing load peaks at the grid connection point and ensures stable power values.
  • Level 1 – Security of supply: A defined SOC range is kept in reserve for backup functions or uninterruptible power supply.

Connex is the central IoT and portal solution within the ArchiteX system architecture. The platform enables secure access to local EMS controllers and displays all relevant system data clearly in a central user interface.
